I redid my kitchen last year. We painted the ugly 70 is

cabinets a creamy white and distessed them. Then I put new knobs on the

doors. We put a new floor down (vinyl tiles), got a new sink and faucet,

new counter top, put wainscoting on the walls under all the cabinets and I

think that is all. I did this all for under $800. I got the sink, faucet,

You can do it for a lot less than $10G.

with adhesive backing that work just as well & are alot cheaper. If you

use these, you don't have to pull out tiles or anything, you can just
cover what is already up there just make sure & use a thick grout as extra
adhesive or they won't stick. You can find these at Home Depot or Lowe is
or even Big Lots or the local dollar store. Just whatever you do make sure
& buy a box more than you think you will need in case they discontinue they
style (experience taught me that). When painting, the more expensive paint
is not always better than the cheaper paint. The best paint I found came
from Ace Hardware & looked alot better than Behar paint. The Behar paint
also chipped alot easier. This will also save you alot of money in the
long run. As for appliances, you can find ur smaller appliances such as
microwave & what not at Wal-Mart. For ur bigger appliances, you can get a
roll of stick on paper similar to wallpaper that looks like stainless
steel. You just cut it to cover the sides of ur refrigerator & stove & put
it on. then you only have to buy new handles for ur refrigerator to match.
If you want to you can email me if you have any more questions throughout
the process. We just finished our kitchen & it took us a year because we
were on a paycheck to paycheck budget.
