Your living room needs a few shades lighter than the sage couch color, but
''same'' is ok here. Keep ur trims in white or if stained, in a natural
(similar to ur kitchen cabinets).

Add some black accents to ur decor, even if it is a pair of candlesticks.
Black is a grounding color & acts as a color anchor for a room. It is an
old designer trick -- don't tell anyone I told you!

Window treatments should be tailored, no florals or bold patterns; stripes
ok, but tone on tone is best. Clean lines are mandatory to keep the
contemporary look & feel so if you add blinds, make sure they are of
contemporary styling. Remember, with contemporary -- less is more.
Clean, uncluttered straight lines. Add curves & texture with accessories,
otherwise use a tone on tone approach to ur decorating & you will have a
winner.

A light shade of yellow or a peach color with dark green trim

in the kitchen would be nice.If you like green for walls I'd suggest a

lighter shade of green or pastel to give the room a larger look/feel, then

contrast that with a dark colored trim.Since ur cabinets are a med. brown

maple painting the walls a dark color would pull them inward making the

room look smaller as well.If you like red with green any mixutre of reds
would be fine, from maroon or burgandy to a mauve or pink, including a bold
red..using them as accent colors such as pillows, curtains, trims, lamp
shades,decor items..etc.
bamboo shades or blinds with a sheer curtain panel would minimize the size
of the windows some but if you want them to be bold,go for darker shades in
colors. If there is no pattern in the couch fabrics then you may consider a
patterned curtain too.
